American Film Institute (AFI) Names their Top Ten Television Shows of 2013

Apparently the American Film Institute did not laugh much this year.  The perennial Modern Family was left off the list (deservedly), but Veep is the only true comedy on the list, and its a pretty dry comedy. Two network television shows made the list, which is big news, they were The Good Wife and Scandal.  Showtime got a show on the list, but it was not Homeland it was there series having a great first year Masters of Sex.  Netflix made this list in a big way joining the ranks of HBO, AMC, each of these "networks" had two shows on the list Netflix had House of Cards, and Orange is the New Black.
