Golden Globe Predictions (Television)

BEST TELEVISION SERIES – DRAMA
BREAKING BAD (AMC)
Sony Pictures Television
DOWNTON ABBEY (PBS)
Carnival Films
THE GOOD WIFE (CBS)
CBS Television Studios in Association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions
HOUSE OF CARDS (Netflix)
Donen/Fincher/Roth and Trigger Street Productions, Inc. in association with Media Rights Capital for Netflix
MASTERS OF SEX (Showtime)
Showtime, Sony Pictures Television, Round Two Productions, Timberman/Beverly Productions
Breaking Bad versus House of Cards. Bad has the acclaim, but has never done well at the Globes, they don't seem to "love it."  Cards falls into the new category, which the Globes love, and honoring a Netflix show would make them even cooler.
Will Win: House of Cards, Spoiler Breaking Bad
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES – DRAMA
Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife
Tatiana Maslany, Orphan Black
Taylor Schilling, Orange Is The New Black
Kerry Washington, Scandal
Robin Wright, House Of Cards
This may be the easiest category to predict, Kerry Washington has this locked up; she is a big star in a semi-new show.  The biggest competition is Tatiana Maslany, but name matters.
Will Win: Kerry Wasington-Scandal
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES – DRAMA
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
Liev Schreiber, Ray Donovan
Michael Sheen, Masters Of Sex
Kevin Spacey, House Of Cards
James Spader, The Blacklist
Never underestimate James Spader, but how can he compete with Bryan Cranston and Kevin Spacey?  He can't.  This comes down to Bad versus Cards once again.  Spacey has never won a Globe, neither has Cranston.  I am giving the edge to Spacey.
Will Win: Kevin Spacey-House of Cards, Spoiler Bryan Cranston-Breaking Bad
BEST TELEVISION SERIES – COMEDY OR MUSICAL
THE BIG BANG THEORY (CBS)
Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (Fox)
Universal Television
GIRLS (HBO)
HBO Entertainment in association with Apatow Productions and I am Jenni Konner Productions
MODERN FAMILY (ABC)
Twentieth Century Fox Television
PARKS & RECREATION (NBC)
Universal Television
Girls is no Sex and the City, the show may have a repeat win, but doubtful.  This category is between The Big Bang Theory and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, like stated above the Globes love new and Brooklyn is the critically acclaimed new fall show.  Bang has never faltered, and is one of the most popular shows of all time, this one is a tough call...These are the three main shows competing.
Will Win: The Big Bang Theory, Spoilers Girls, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES – COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Zooey Deschanel, New Girl
Lena Dunham, Girls
Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep
Amy Poehler, Parks & Recreation
Dunham won last year, but like her show she may miss out this year.  This race is between the host Amy Poehler, and Julia Louis Dreyfus from Veep.  While Louis-Dreyfus is a double nominee Poehler is the host.
Will Win-Amy Poehler-Parks and Recreation, Spoiler Julia Louis-Dreyfus-Veep
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES – COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Jason Bateman, Arrested Development
Don Cheadle, House Of Lies
Michael J. Fox, The Michael J. Fox Show
Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory
Andy Samberg, Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Last year Cheadle surprised, but that should people should have seen that coming, new show, and celebrity, double whammy.  Fox could win, but the show is a clunker.  Look out for Andy Samberg to do what Cheadle did last although he's not as big of a star.  Parsons could win along with the show.
Will Win: Andy Samberg-Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Spoiler-Jim Parsons-The Big Bang Theory
