In Memoriam: Jeanne Cooper

Today is one of the saddest days for the Daytime community, long time Young and the Restless matriarch Jeanne Cooper who played Katherin Chancellor has passed away.  Cooper has been suffering for a long time from illness and her son actor Corbin Bernson (LA Law, Psych) announced this via Twitter today.  Cooper played Mrs. C from 1973 until 2013, nearly 40 years!  Cooper has 10 Daytime Emmy nominations and one Lifetime Achievement win (2004), and one win in the Best Actress category in 2008.  One of the most famous story lines Cooper had was following Mrs. C around during Cooper's real life face lift.  This is the first time plastic surgery received such major attention in the media, on series.  There is not much to say about this Grand Dame of Daytime Soaps, but here is a variety of clips showing the best of Katherin Chancellor throughout the years!  This woman was class act.
